Dee Platt has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Education from Mundelein College and Loyola University and a certificate in Interior Design from Harper College. She has been an Illinois Licensed Interior Designer since 1992. Her homes have been featured both in the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Herald and her award-winning window treatments were selected for the “Best of the Best” in the Chicago Home and Garden Magazine.

Dee had been on the Honquest staff for over fourteen years and is a member of the Honquest Ten Million Dollar Club.

She believes you can make any home, regardless of size, warm, intimate and inviting. When working with her clients, it is very important that she understands their lifestyle, how they want to live in the room, and the look they want to achieve. That special look can best be achieved with interesting and unusual accessories. This creates the personality and charm in a room and should reflect the clients own personal taste and interests.

Her goal is to use her talents to make your home fulfill your needs. There are many ways to decorate the same space. Function is a key consideration. Choosing furnishings that are the proper scale and meeting the needs of family and friends are equally important. A practical home can also be gorgeous.

Dee loves to see the room come together for her clients and wants them and their friends to walk in and instantly be comfortable. Dee’s greatest satisfaction in her work comes when her clients tell her how warm their home is—how secure and happy it makes them feel.
