Fay Shemirani has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Interior Design from the Illinois Institute of Art. She won first place in the Chicago Award/Studio Design, 1998, and first place in the Chicago Award/French Design 1999.
She believes that a successful design is practical, pleasing to the eyes, and radiates the client’s lifestyle and personality. The designed area should appear to have been developed over the years.
When working with her clients, she gathers information about their lifestyle, wants and needs, then keeps their interests in her mind all the time she is working with them. She makes herself available while completing the project, and after the project is finished. Fay believes her specific expertise is in the areas of color coordination, creating appropriate style and mood in the space, window treatment design and extra attention to details and accessorizing.
Fay is also an accomplished oil painting artist. Her eye for color as well as familiarity with furniture styles, a skill honed from her years as an antique furniture consultant, allow Fay to create appealing and stylish living environments for clients.
