Jan Jensen earned an Associates Degree in Residential Interior Design and is an Illinois State Licensed Designer w/IDFPR. Her design background includes over six years of residential furnishings and design that began with Honquest Furniture for Living, followed by thirteen years in contract design and commercial interiors, providing project management from specification through installation of large and small interiors, board rooms and executive suites.
Jan’s design philosophy is that ‘less is more.’ She emphasizes the importance of keeping the scale of furniture functional and in relationship to the room size. When working with clients, she listens to their needs and wants, working to achieve their trust and help create an environment that reflects their personality. Her special expertise—ability to create an elegant home environment that is warm and inviting using color, pattern and texture.
