Karen Skibbe has an Associates Degree in Applied Science, Interior Design from Harper College. At Harper she received Faculty Scholar Recognition. She was published in Chicago Home and Garden for her award-winning tablescapes.
Karen believes your home should be beautiful and welcoming—something you and your family and friends love to be in. When working with her clients she first determines their priorities, their vision of their home, their particular style, what colors do they like to live with? Karen’s creative ideas and flexible guidance help’s clients put it all together – finding their home’s unique personality.
Karen’s specific expertise is with the use of color and choice of fabrics. Because she has a good background in sewing, she understands the construction of window treatments and bedding ensembles that enables her to choose the right fabric and construction methods, resulting in stunning and beautifully designed treatments.
Another fun outlet for Karen’s creativity is the baking of delicious and beautifully decorated cupcakes.
