‘Twenty-two years ago my husband and I purchased our family room furniture from Honquest Fine Furnishings. We’ve been empty nesters for some time and long overdue to re-decorate this room….but what to do and where to start? We wanted a warm cozy space, not the cool décor and pastels of the late eighties. The room needed a total makeover. But what can be done with an off white stone fireplace, platinum walls and carpet?
How do we achieve turning this area into a wonderful living space? Dee Platt accomplished just that by replacing our carpet with a soft neutral color, warming the walls up with a golden beige paint and adding custom valances and blinds. Combining a 3-piece sectional with comfy upholstered chairs, a large wood coffee table, end tables, lamps, pictures and lots of beautiful accessories. Our family room is now the heart of our house and we love it.’
